Google Signs Classified Pentagon AI Deal — Despite 600 Employee Open Letter Saying Not To

Google has signed a classified AI agreement with the US Department of Defense, allowing the Pentagon to use its AI models on classified military networks for "any lawful government purpose." The deal was reported by The Information on April 28 — one day after more than 600 Google employees, including directors and VPs, published an open letter urging CEO Sundar Pichai to refuse exactly this kind of arrangement.
